About
Hi, I'm Robin (she/her)
It’s great to meet you! I’m a Libra. I don't follow astrological signs, so I don't know what that means, but I know a lot of people find this to be very important information. I consider myself to be a high functioning introvert, which just means I value my down time after a big social event. I’m a plus size lady and am active in advocating for plus size bodies and inclusivity (see my Curvy Photographer site). I’m a sofa activist! Ok, I made this term up, I think. I’m passionate about participating in our democracy and I’m involved in groups that encourage voter turnout. I’m not much into door-knocking (see previous note about being an introvert), but I can turn out a pile of hand-written letters like nobody’s business.
I'm a Penn State grad – go Nittany Lions! I was born and raised in Greencastle, PA but spent almost two decades of my life and career in Southern California (in case you were wondering where all the beach and palm tree photos are from). Moving back to the east coast has been quite the adventure. I bring with me a life partner and two rescue dogs (IG @ZozoRubesandDot) who are now living their best lives in this squirrel heaven of a neighborhood. My photographer heart is full seeing the seasons change now, and I love discovering a new venue or perfect photo spot.
What Sparks Joy
My Style
My editing style is light, airy, colorful and true to tone. It’s a classic style of photography that will never be overly dated. But when you’re a creative, it can be fun to play around with different styles. I have been known to dabble in more of a boho style of editing when the client’s style and the light is calling for it, but that’s something I would discuss with you before working on your images. I want to make sure you get a gallery that really speaks to who you are!
At weddings, I like to stay low key. After all, it’s your day to shine, not mine. During your ceremony, I will shoot with long lenses and try to be as discreet as possible. At portrait time, I will take charge and put you and your partner in flattering poses and then ask you to do fun things like whisper types of cheese in each other’s ear or run like you are being chased by a sloth. Trust me, all of this will result in stunning romantic images. I love old people! I can’t wait to meet your grandma and make her feel like a guest of honor at your event. I sincerely hope to catch her on the dance floor later too.
“My husband and I were married in Savannah, GA, about 2 months before he deployed to Afghanistan, and Robin captured the most beautiful images of our ceremony. She was so professional and generous that we felt totally comfortable, and really have some awesome prints in our home now. She trekked all the over the historic part of the city with us, offering suggestions and also making most of our ideas work. I'd definitely recommend her for your wedding if you want someone who won't add to the stress of the big day - her calm demeanor is just what a busy bride needs, and she's fun too!”

Giving Back
As an Empath, giving back to my community is important to me. A percentage of my sales is donated to the below organizations. I also enjoy donating photography services to animal rescues (IG: @rescuedogphotog) and women's charities. If you have a charitable project you'd like to propose, feel free to reach out!
